MEXICO NOM Certification
The technology standards of Mexico have a voluntary standards and imperative standards. The imperative standards (Norma Officials Mexicanas, for short NOM) also named Mexico official standards. So, now a standard is the imperative safety mark use to express if the product conforms to relevant NOM standards. NOM mark is applicable almost product, including telecom and information technology equipment, household appliances, lamps and other product which have potential fatalness to our healthy and safety. Whatever made in Mexico or import must conform to relevant NOM standards and the regulation of product mark.
In Mexico, the product should be tested and inspected every year, but due to the standards of Mexico NOM, almost base on the IEC standards, so for the product which conformed UL/IEC standards, will according to specific case to decide if need to do the NOM testing again. |
